Cantilever racking
uprights, arms, & Brace sets
Cantilever racks are the ideal storage system for irregular shaped objects like furniture, building materials, fabrics, flooring, steel, pipe, and other long, heavy items. Cantilever racking is a freestanding storage unit with horizontal load carrying arms extending outward from a single vertical column. Their unique design does not include a vertical support on the outboard ends of the arms, permitting uninterrupted storage for long lengths of materials and increased product accessibility.
Cantilever racks are comprised of three components: uprights, arms, and brace sets. Uprights are available in both single sided and double sided. Each component is configured to its specific use, making each cantilever rack application specific to your individual need.
Uprights consist of a vertical column and a horizontal base which is bolted to the column. They are equipped with vertically punch holes every 3" to allow for adjustabilty and a custom configuration option on each unit. Each cantilever storage bay consists of two uprights.
Cantilever arms are available in both straight or inclined styles. Generally, straight arms are used for uniformed, stackable items such as lumber or drywall sheets; whereas inclined arms are recommended for cylindrical objects like pipe or rods. Arms can be adjusted up and down the upright making room for additional materials on each level or adding more shelf levels per bay.
Brace Sets are the structural channel members that are bolted between pairs of uprights to provide lateral stability to the rack system. Style and brace pattern depends on the upright height and the horizontal distance from the centerline of one upright to the next.
